Earned Doctor of Medicine in 1961 From the University of Texas School of Medicine in Galveston, Texas.

Completed Medical Internship in 1962 from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.  

Completed Residency of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Cardiology, and Cardiac Catherization in 1962-1965 from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. 

Commenced Private practice in Port Arthur, Texas from 1965-1998.

Elected 2 terms Chief of Staff of St. Marys Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas.

Completed Minor residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine from the University of California in San Francisco, California.

Completed Diving Program for physicians at United States Navy School of Diving in Washington D.C. and Hyperbaric Medicine at National Oceanic and aerospace administration (NOAA) Key Virginia, Florida.

 Trained at Glasgow, Scotland, and the Norwegian Underwater Institute for qualifications to treat divers in Saturation diving in the North Sea.

Chosen to become one of a group of trained physician divers along the coasts of the United States to treat underwater divers working in compressed air and saturation diving, like divers working on offshore oil rigs primarily in the Gulf of Texas. 

Completed course requirements for a master’s in Environmental & Occupational medicine at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston, Texas 

Author of Xylene and Toluene Toxicity chapters in Carl Zenz, M.D. editor of Occupational Medicine: Principles and Practical Applications.

Co-Author with Dr. Isam N. Anabtawi M.D of Arteriosclerotic Aneurysms of the coronary Arteries paper in The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Private Practice assisted in establishing ICU-CCU units in St. Mary’s Hospital, in Port Arthur, Texas.

Established Pulmonary division, Inhalation Therapy, Dialysis, and Cardiac Catheterization department at St. Mary Hospital Port Arthur, Texas.

Established a charitable Medical clinic at the Tepehua community center in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico to treat the poor, orphans, children, and prenatal and postnatal women.
